Experiences
Have you ever thought about traveling to Brazil? Having the opportunity to visit the amazing beaches, making connections with friendly Brazilians, experiencing our delicious and rich food… What about living in Brazil? Can you imagine the multiple experiences you and your family could have if only you knew how to speak Portuguese? I think you’re one step away from starting this journey!
Hi, I’m Dahare, a typical carioca from Rio de Janeiro. I’ve been teaching for 10 years now and after falling in love with different languages and cultures, I decided to raise my kid bilingual. He’s 4 years old and we speak English and Portuguese at home.
Having decided to build a bilingual home made me see the study of languages in a different and more creative way. It’s not only how you make sentences, but also all the richness that we can find in truly living it on a daily basis.
Do you know that depending on where you are the things and food have different names? In Rio de Janeiro we call cookies “biscoitos” and in São Paulo they call it “bolacha”. This is an example of something you cannot learn from books.
As a learner of French and Spanish I know that learning a language isn’t the easiest thing to do, but it’s totally possible if you have the right tools! That’s why I invite you to book a class, I’m pretty sure we can get you ready for your future experiences here in Brazil! See you soon!
